Mrs. Michelle Lieb To All Instructors

Hello! My name is Michelle, and I am a joyful mother of a faith-filled, funny, and athletic son and wife to my dearest husband and best friend, Ben. I am thankful for our sweet family, and I love the God who brought us together, saved me, transformed my life, and is sanctifying me. I am beyond thankful for the Christian homeschool community He has provided for us in Culpeper and the opportunities for our son to learn with others as well. And while I have yet to experience the high school years with our son, I have enjoyed teaching high school art and photography in another co-op, as well as public high school. So now I am excited to begin this new chapter teaching photography to homeschool students at Champions for Christ.

My photography and art background began with a childhood love of art and photography from a very early age through my father’s photography. Later, I went on to receive my bachelor's degree from JMU with a major in art with a photography and watercolor concentration...and beyond that, a masters degree from VCU, specializing in photography and the book arts.

I began teaching art to elementary students in Culpeper county for one year and then teaching several Photography, AP, and Studio Art classes at Liberty High School for over a decade prior to the birth of our son. Then, I owned and operated a wedding and portrait photography business for the last 15 years and am retiring this year. You can check out my business website until the end of this year at www.liebphotographic.com.

Outside of teaching and homeschooling,  I love to spend time with family and friends, stay involved in our church family, go to the beach, cheer at my son's games, read (and listen to audio books), sing, paint, garden, explore our beautiful state and bake. We recently welcomed a cavapoo puppy into our household, named River, and we have so enjoyed his company as well!
